Support for really SMALL numbers
I use Planck's constant, 6.626e-34 all the time, but pi cubed does not seem to support any number smaller than 10^-6. anything smaller is registered as zero. Can this be fixed..
Sorry, I was out of town for a bit and then distracted with other things when I came back.
Aside from manually entering an expression to mimic scientific notation (entering 5.2 * 10^(-10) or similar), there really isn't a good way to do this in the current version. Adding scientific notation as a numerical entry and expression format is my top priority for the next version of the application, and is something I've been working on for a little while. My work was slowed by the new release of Molecules, but I should be able to make good progress on this now.
Thanks, Brad. My students LOVE molecules, by the way... Can't wait for the new release of Pi Cubed!
I mean, I can manually type in thirty-three zeroes, but that's TEDIOUS, and it approaches the precision limit of the program. I keep thinking there must be some trick to it, that I'm just not clever enough to figure out... I would really love to use this program in my teaching, but it needs to be able to support itty-bitty numbers... A reply would be nice.
